Update on our Adoption

Here is the latest update on this wonderful adoption story. I am such a slacker in posting on here, but know I must get better for our trip. On September 28, 2012 we got a call at 7:08 in the morning from our awesome social worker, Amy Hart. She said that Lily, the social worker in China has locked a file in for us. She wanted us to see her and pray about it. Well, I couldn't open it until 9:00 or so and when I did---oh man!! I wasn't expected to see everything--all of the severity of the special needs she has. WOW! But, we saw her face..... that says it all. We we expecting to get a 3-5 year old little girl, but we we matched with an almost 2 year old!!!! Amy said that Lily wanted us to see this little girl because she looks really good and healthy. I tracked down Dr. Parmer and had him look at her file along with the International Adoption Clinic doctors. Later on Saturday Lily sent us a video and email from her orphanage and we wrote a care plan for Xi Rong Wei to become our daughter!!! They call her Weiwei for short!!! We plan on calling her Aimee Love Wei Fox and she is absolutely beautiful!!!  I felt differently about this little girl---I don't know what it was, but I just knew she already had a hold on my heart. She does have some special needs that we had not even considered, but she can walk and crawl...so I think she will be just fine. Someone said that her special need is that she needs a mommy and daddy--and that sums it up!
This week I finally got on a yahoo group of people who have adopted from Wuxi City,China and there was a lady asking if anyone has adopted Rongwei! I almost screamed---well, I did scream! My heart jumped and immediately responded to her post. She said she was there in July and saw Rongwei and wondered if anyone had adopted her yet. She said she was precious and such a beautiful little girl! She was going to find some pictures of her for me. Later she sent me her post of her blog of going to the orphanage. I had already seen this post because I had googled Wuxi City Orphanage and it appeared. This is when it gets good---- her post was dated July 19--my birthday! I had prayed for God to do something BIG on my birthday. Our Dossier was sent on July 20, so I assumed that was close enough---but He went deeper and had someone see my daughter---look her in the eyes--on my actual birthday!!!! Never think He is not in the details!! I know it doesn't sound like much---but for me, I was like I was there with her!! The days are growing long and my patience is growing short....I am ready to get the LOA and start planning our trip to China!
I will post more later....very blessed....Laurie
