First Post

Hi! This is the first attempt of posting anything on this blog. I am not a blogger or even a follower of blogs, but everyone keeps telling me to write this stuff down so I won't forget it. They are probably right, seeing that I lay awake at night wishing I had had more time in the day to do this sort of thing. SO, here it goes, the beginning--the great call, the pulling that changed my life forever. It wasn't a revelation or a bright light that went off telling us to add to our family. It was a series of whispers over a period of years that made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. It was the laughter of a little girl that pierced my heart and took my breath away. It was a run early in the morning and the music caused me to stop and wail. (The music was downloaded 2 years before I listened to it--all part of the Big plan.) It was the prodding of a little girl that said there is always enough room. It was the silence of a husband on an elliptical machine--thinking, praying, waiting. It was the fatness that we felt after a Bible Study of what we have been given and what is required of us. It was the quitting of a job in the rat race to get more that made us think. Ultimately is was the draw of a Savior who said that our family wasn't complete that made this journey start. I wish I could say it was a moment, but it was a conglomeration of several things that made us jump, but He works differently with everyone. This is the race He has set before us--so we are off and running!
